The
WAPC holds bi-annual conferences on subjects ranging from
cable refranchising to video streaming, and also coordinates
the annual WAPC Video Festival Awards and other member surveys,
studies, and reports.
Welcome New Members
Ashwaubenon, DePere, New Richmond, Sevastapol, Superior, Verona, and Watertown
have recently joined WAPC. We're happy to have them aboard and looking
forward to all we can accomplish together.
Spring Conference...what fun!
Those of you who attended the Spring Conference this last weekend know
it was one of the best WAPC has ever had. How can you begin to express how
great Sen. Kathleen Vinehout was! And Wade's remarks televised at the Video Fest.
Priceless. Those of you who stayed for the Saturday appreciative inquiry session
know it was really something special we won't ever forget.... what fun! -- and so
many ideas came out of it!
We taped all of the sessions and will be letting you know how we are going to
handle getting tapes of workshops to those of you who want them. There may be a
charge. I am also going to see how many handouts I can collect in the digital
format. I'm tentatively planning to post them in the Members Only section of the
website and will let you know when they are there.
To all of you who came, thanks for making it so great!
The Video Competition Bill Has Passed - What Does This Mean for PEG?
Dear Supporters, the Video Competition Bill has been signed into law; with a few line-item vetos.
This law, known as Act 42, creates a new landscape
for PEG with both threats and opportunities. The Department of Financial Institutions has just issued
the new application form for statewide franchises. Read more about it here.
